Nine Months In - Is Your Baby Ready For Kindergarten?
At the nine-month mark, you're probably pretty familiar with your baby's milestones and how they should progress. But if you're noticing something different about your child, it may be worth talking to a doctor about.
By the time your baby is nine months old, they're becoming experts at crawling, moving from knees to elbows and perhaps even pulling themselves up to stand or walking while holding onto furniture. They may also be able to say their first words and communicate their needs with gestures. Your child is also likely to be a babbling, chatty little thing who can play peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake with you, as well as recognize and cling to family members. They're learning about their environment and may begin to show emotions like anger, sadness or joy.
This is a good time to start feeding your baby solid foods, but be sure that they're cut up small enough to avoid choking. Your 9-month-old should eat three small meals and two snacks, including dairy, fruits and vegetables. The recommended daily allowance is 24 to 30 ounces of milk or formula.
With a cast that includes Hugh Grant and Demi Moore, a director who turned Harry Potter into a massive movie franchise and a screenplay based on a hit French romantic comedy, Nine Months should have been a lot better than it is. But the film is dull and directionless, and its attempts at pratfalls and humor fall flat.
